In the Format sidebar, click the Style button near the top. With tab stops in place, pressing the Tab key (or Option-Tab in a table cell), moves. You can set tab stops to align text left, right, at the center, or on a decimal point. Here’s how to work with such a beast: Start a blank line of text. Using the decimal tab to line up numbers. Rather than right-align text, as the right tab does, the decimal tab aligns numbers by their decimal - the period in the number, as shown here. Click or tap the document where you want to type a number and press the Tab key. You can click and drag this later to move it. Select on the ruler where you want the decimal point to be. Click or tap the tab selector on the left end of the ruler until you see the decimal tab.
